Four feeds behind one bet slip

Parlay maths, and why the ceiling exists

A parlay multiplies the odds of every leg and requires all of them. Three legs at 1.90 decimal compound to 6.86, so RM50 returns about RM343. That is the attraction, and it is real. What the ticket does not show you is that the same multiplication is happening to the probability in the other direction.

Each leg at 1.90 is roughly a 52 per cent shot. Three of them together land about fourteen times in a hundred. Ten of them land around sixteen times in ten thousand, which is why the slip that pays 613 times the stake is priced that way rather than out of generosity. Long parlays are a lottery ticket with better artwork, and we would rather write that plainly on a gambling site than imply otherwise in a bonus banner.

The payout ceiling on a single parlay is RM2,000, applied to the return and not to the stake. Legs from the same match are blocked unless the slip explicitly offers them as a combination, because correlated outcomes break the pricing. If one leg voids, it drops out at odds of 1.00 and the parlay recalculates on the remaining legs instead of collapsing.

Live betting, where the clock is against you

In-play prices rewrite themselves every few seconds and suspend outright on a goal, a red card, a penalty award or a VAR check. Suspension is not us hiding; it is the trading model refusing to quote a number it cannot stand behind for the next ninety seconds. The market reopens when the situation resolves, usually at a very different price.

Every live ticket is held for about five seconds before acceptance, which is the window the book uses to check the price is still live. A venue change to a neutral ground voids home and away markets. A player market voids if the player does not take the field at all, and a tennis walkover before the first point voids the match line.

A voided bet returns at odds of 1.00, which means the stake comes back whole and nothing else happens to it. Settled winnings sit in the same ringgit wallet as everything else, and the payment rails out are the ones that funded the bet in the first place: DuitNow, Touch 'n Go, Boost, GrabPay and FPX.
